Jennifer Beals – Flashdance
Erotic dancing was a trend in the ’80s, and Jennifer Beals shined in that area. In “Flashdance,” she played the role of a passionate and talented teenage character named Alex, who welded metals during the day and performed as a sensual dancer by night. “Flashdance” became the third-highest-grossing film in the United States in 1983, the year it was released.
Beals doesn’t dance as much in movies anymore, probably because she’s developed other interesting hobbies, such as martial arts and triathlon. Additionally, she’s developed a passion for photography and is now recognized as a professional photographer.
Kirk Cameron – Growing Pains
Few celebrities decide to leave their entertainment careers to focus on their newfound religion or faith, but Kirk Cameron did just that in the ’90s when he left the set of the ’80s sitcom “Growing Pains.” His transformation was so significant that he didn’t stay in touch with any of his cast members for decades!
However, years later, Cameron reunited with his co-stars and even appeared in two “Growing Pains” reunions. While he remains deeply involved in his ministry, he occasionally makes time for the entertainment industry. In 2019, he appeared in a short video titled “Straight at Ya.”
